Senator Lovely to be honored by North Shore Elder Services

Senator Lovely to be presented with Public Policy Maker Award

(Danvers) – Tonight at North Shore Elder Services’ 8th Annual We Give Thanks Awards event, Senator Joan Lovely will be presented with The Public Policy Maker Award.

The Public Policy Maker Award is given to an elected or appointed public official or a representative of an organization who has advanced the development of public policy affecting older adults or caregivers at the local, state or national level.

Senator Lovely is honored to receive the Public Policy Maker Award. “I would like to thank North Shore Elder Services for honoring me with this award,” stated Senator Lovely. “Work to advocate and support the aging community in my senate district and throughout the Commonwealth is something I care deeply about. It has been a privilege to partner with North Shore Elder Services in this regard.”

In this legislative session, Senator Lovely has been proud of the Senate’s work to support and enhance the lives of those who are part of the aging community. “The services and programs North Shore Elder Services provides and their advocacy and support on behalf of the senior community has inspired me to be involved in many of my priority legislative policy areas – serving on the Joint Committee on Mental Health and Substance Abuse, access to health care, elder abuse prevention, bullying, access to locally grown and nutritious food, veterans benefits and services, among many others.”
