Beverly, Salem awarded STEM Equipment and Workforce Development Capital Grant
Grants are provided by the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center
(BOSTON—11/6/2025) Senate Assistant Majority Leader Joan B. Lovely (D-Salem) is pleased to announce that Beverly and Salem Public Schools have been awarded more than $39,494 in grant funding from the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center’s STEM Equipment and Professional Development Grant Program.
“Thank you to the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center for these transformative grants that will create new educational opportunities for the students of Beverly and Salem,” said Senator Lovely. “With these resources, our students will be exposed to new concepts and ideas, learning valuable and highly sought-after skills that will set them up for future success.”
The grants will go towards teacher professional development and the purchase of equipment, materials, supplies, and technology needed to support new or expanded curriculum. Awards include:
- $25,500 for Beverly Public Schools
- $13,994 for Salem Public Schools
This funding will enable schools to educate students in real-world scenarios that will prepare them for career opportunities in the life sciences. Professional development funding will ensure that educators receive the technical training needed to effectively use newly acquired equipment and technology.
