Beverly Creative Youth Development programs awarded YouthReach grants

$53,100 from the Mass Cultural Council will be used to help youth with social, emotional, and academic skills

(BOSTON—2/19/2026) Senate Assistant Majority Leader Joan B. Lovely (D-Salem) announces that two organizations in Beverly have received funding via the Mass Cultural Council YouthReach grant program.

Express Yourself and YMCA North Shore, both in Beverly, will each receive $26,550 via the grant program, which helps youth acquire social, emotional, and academic skills through centering youth voices, equity, and collective action in the arts, humanities, or science.

“Thank you to the Mass Cultural Council for making these grants available to our local organizations via the YouthReach grant program,” said Senator Lovely. “These programs create transformative opportunities for young people that have resulted not just in enriching experiences, but higher high school graduation and college attendance rates.”

YouthReach is the longest-running support program for the field of CYD in the United States. Mass Cultural Council has invested more than $26 million in a total of 188 organizations through this program.
